“How do I say God?”

There are many ways to describe our religious experience about the presence of the almighty, nevertheless it is hard to accommodate them all, and no one can fathom the richness of it unless we drive in to the manifold grace of God in faith.
I can still recall my experience which I consider my deepening encounter of saying about God, 2012 of march after I graduated my  philosophy degree in saint peter college seminary butuan , I encounter a big dilemma of my faith, whether to pursue my religious vocation in the Augustinian way of life or not.
Considering with this big dilemma of life, I ask my superior to take for regency. In my regency I was able to teach in one of the university in Cebu and that is in the Cebu technological university , after then with almost one year of  my teaching  regency., I  was able to apply of one  of a
Prestigious theological seminary In the Philippines the seminario mayor de san Carlos. I could still recall of my experience of saying god, when I say to my self during the exam that if could not be the highest lord, just allow me to pass this exam lord if I am meant for you please help me.
With that affirmation of my religious experience I was able to say to myself that indeed the if we are for him we will really become waht we want to become.

THE JEWISH PEOPLE
AND THEIR SACRED SCRIPTURES
IN THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE

Life has its own meaning and beauty nevertheless it is not enough to accommodate then all in one glance. Man’s life is full of mystery and tragedy. Tragedy in the sense that man is always encounter a different dilemma and uncertainties.  Mystery in the sense that man by nature is tangible and intangible.
According to one of the famous philosopher in the name of Socrates, that un examined life is not worth living in relation to my vocation towards priestly life, I could say that life was indeed an entangled situation in the sense we really need to examined an even to the point of re-examining our self as to what is really good we can offer to our life.
In the discussion of Rev. Fr. Diola with regards to the influence of the Jewish culture to the Christianity I could say that there is a big impact, since the Jewish practices had given an emphases to the religious aspect of the Christian, the concrete idea of this is what we call the judeo Christian belief and practices.
As I try to reflect upon on the idea of the judeo Christian belief I could say that the best and the concrete example of this is the story of the Haggadah, for if we try to scrutinize it there are many things that we can consider as the practice also of the Roman Catholic Christian.
Furthermore the Christian bible can attest also that there is some similarity of the teachings of the practices of the Jews. No doubt that Christ once was said that he came not to abolish the Old Testament teachings but he clearly said that he came to fulfil what was written in the Old Testament.
Therefore Christ is the fulfilment of what was written in the Old Testament, and in for those reason Christian and Jewish practices is not far from the heart of the teachings of Christ himself. Even if there are many conflict in the history between Christian and Jews, most especially during the world war. But I think this not big issue to consider for that is just the result of the human concupiscence.

There are many ways to understand the beauty of life nevertheless it is not enough to accommodate then all. No one can fathom the meaning of it unless we know how to enter into the real meaning of it. How can we ever forget the message and the teachings of Jesus Christ? The model of holiness and the solitude of life.
According to bro. cabag Monasticism can only be understood by referring to the essence of Christianity and the church it for it is a part of the realization of the church. According to bro. Vince that monasticism owes its origin to the gospel and wants to represents the total commitment to God by the imitation of Christ. According to bro. Camay that monasticism is skipping from the world adversities and miseries. And to bro. Toreno also he said that monasticism is more on the Deeping oneself for a solitude way of life.
In my realization I could say that monasticism is a kind of vocation that emphasizes on life of complete silence giving more important in the realm of silence and solitude. For according to mother Teresa of Calcutta that whenever there is silence God’s speaks on to us. It is also a Deepening  of ourselves in our relationship to God.

faith and the holy scripture

Faith and the holy Scripture

Many believers wanted to be holy by living their faith. Faith and scripture  are important entities in embracing a life holiness. This claim brings a radical demand of living our faith. It should not be delayed because every day is a great opportunity to realize it.
As I try to reflect on the subject matter of the importance of holy bible in my life as seminarian, it is an undeniable fact that the sacred scripture is always part of my seminary journey, for every now and then the bible is my guide towards fulfilment of my vocation.
To concretized my claim when I was still in college seminary, I was able to meet a catholic faith defender in the name of  Bro. Socrates Fernandez, I was really inspired by his conviction on defending the catholic faith, due to my curiosity I was able to approached him and converse with him privately. It is then that I was enlighten by the way he interprets and understand the holy bible, but still I said to myself that it is a long run of study, for according to him he was able to familiarized all the text of the bible for almost 3 years.
Now that I am already in my theological study in Seminario Mayor De San Carlos, I have alote of deep realization that in learning the sacred scripture it is very important that we should know to concretized it in our daily activities, for it will be useless if we just depend on theory for as the letter of James chapter 3 verse 17 says that faith without action is died.
In this reason what have learned in the said subject must be apply to my vocation journey, first in spiritual life it is being manifested in my daily encounter in the holy mass, secondly, in my community life that in order for me to be more active in my participation it is very important that I myself must be a man of communion in the holy church. Thirdly in terms of my pastoral exposure that I can encounter Christ in the midst of the poor to sympathize in there endeavours, lastly in terms of my academic endeavours that I must be a man of total conviction by not just reallying on my own intellectual capacity but by the wisdom of God. .
In my deep reflection I was able to say to myself that learning indeed is a long process, that  is way from that very day I start to read the bible, and I was able to assimilate it all during the discussion of our active and energetic professor Rev. Fr. Dondon, Aquino. I would say that it is true indeed the saying that says ignorance of the bible is ignorance to Christ.
Man can only grasp the glimpse of Christ if he has the background of the holy bible. As one of the writers would say that we really need to read and read and read until we become a person who is a lover of wisdom.
Indeed pope francis had a great point in emphasizing the holiness of the family, for everything start within the family especially the vocation to the sacred priesthood and religious life.
